North Korean state media has hailed US Republican presidential chosen one Donald Trump as a "savvy government official" who could be useful for the North.The editorial in DPRK Today said he was a "far-sighted presidential candidate".
Mr Trump recently said he would be willing to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, and has also proposed withdrawing US troops from South Korea.
Analysts said the editorial was not official policy but likely reflected Pyongyang's thinking.
'Dull' Clinton
The essayist, Han Yong-mook - depicted as a Chinese North Korean researcher - said Mr Trump's strategy on US troops would make the North's "Yankee Go Home" vision work out.
North Korea has since quite a while ago needed US troops to leave the Korean promontory.

"I think his (Trump's) thought of talk is jabber," So Se-pyong, North Korea's diplomat to the United Nations in Geneva, had told Reuters.
