Trust Ihesiaba and his sibling, Ifeanyi, have been captured by the men of the Nigerian police for their charged contribution underway of fake Naira notes and a syndicate.
Punch Newspaper reports that the Ihesiaba siblings, who are individuals from a syndicate that produces fake Naira notes, were caught on Oluwakemi Street, in the Ojodu Abiodun territory of Lagos State.
It was further reported that the suspects were captured by the Isheri Police Division on Saturday, May 28, 2016 after the police were tipped-off by a broker who charged that the suspects spent fake N1,000 notes at her store and the agents swung in on them.
80 bits of fake N1,000 notes - adding up to N80,000-two portable workstations, a sledge hammer and a cutlass were said to have been recuperated from the suspects' home after a hunt was directed before their capture.
In any case, Hope Ihesiaba denied creating fake Naira notes saying, it was his companion, Odiyi, in Aba, Abia State who was included in such illegal act.
The 33-year-old suspect said, "I don't deliver fake naira notes. I have a companion who does that. His name is Odiyi, and he offers in a business sector in Aba."
Proceeding with, he said, 'I gave him N28,000 genuine cash and he gave me the N80,000 fake naira notes. I knew the cash was fake; yet I did it to help myself. I gave my sibling parts of the cash. He thusly offered some to two of his companions. I am not wedded. I simply required cash and I was enticed to gather the notes.'
In the interim, the police had supposedly dispatched a manhunt for Odiyi, the Aba merchant, who is charged to have been creating the fake notes.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, affirmed the capture saying examination is as of now continuous.
