Agents of the Lagos State Police Command have initiated an exhaustive examination concerning the demise of two infants, whose bodies were recuperated from a trench next to a filling station in the Ajangbadi region of the state.
The infant twin suspected to be young men were obviously surrendered by their "pitiless" mother in the channel on Friday, as inhabitants, who were attracted to the scene, were seen taking photos of the children before the landing of policemen from the Ilemba Hausa division.
A police source, who wasn't to satisfied with the conduct of the inhabitants, asked why they didn't act quickly when they saw the infants.
He said, "An inhabitant cautioned us to the scene. When we arrived, the infants were at that point dead. There was a horde of spectators, some of them were taking previews. It is plausible that the infants were dropped by their mom for reasons best known not.

She said, "We got the data around 1pm on Friday and our agents joined to the Ilemba Hausa division went there and saw the bodies of the babies in the trench. We found that they were two bodies of infant male children, pressed in a polythene sack and surrendered by the waterway by obscure person(s).
"The bodies were evacuated and stored at the Badagry General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. In any case, exertion is on to find the perpetrator(s) of the demonstration."
